General Description of the Research Project | This collaborative research aims to identify molecular markers of drug resistance in Plasmodium vivax (Pv) in Vietnam and Cambodia, two countries with evidence of multiple drug resistant vivax (MDRV). These markers will provide a method for tracking the spread of MDRV in Asia and provide information on the mechanisms behind drug action in vivax, which are currently unknown. |
