Science Interest (Past) |
My research interests when was PhD and postdoc were focused on the genomewide analysis of the rice blast fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae using RNA silencing tool by which the biological roles of calcium signalling proteins and cell wall degrading enzymes such as endo-xylanases, cellulases were identified as virulence factors. The biological role of intergenic RNAs involving in turn-on or turn-off HWP1 gene was also studied in human pathogenic fungus, Candida albicans.
Science Interest (Current) |
Since the beginning of 2013 when came back to Vietnam and set up my own lab, my research interests were focused on the following topics 1. comparative analysis of cell wall degrading enzyme encoding genes in filamentous fungi and their expression profiles of Magnpaorthe oryzae 2.Molecular diagnosis of microbial pathogens using LAMP, RPA and development of agronomic traits for rapid detection 3 Molecular pathogenesis of microbial pathogens |
||||
Science Interest (Future) |
In the future, we would like to have collaboration with worldwide scientists working on the development of innovative methods for rapid detection of microbial pathogens and agronomic traits in plants, animals and even human. Understanding the biological role and expression profiles of small RNAs such as microRNA, intergenic RNAs in organisms will be also one of the priorities in our future work. Applications of atomic force microscopy and nanomaterials will be used for our studies in the future.
